Explore the Island

All of Palawan
begins here

Palawan is consistently ranked among the most beautiful islands on Earth — and it is far more than one destination. From the dramatic limestone karsts of El Nido to the untouched beaches of Port Barton and the wild reefs of Balabac, this island offers a lifetime of exploration. Hotel Palacio is your perfect base.

El Nido
El Nido
~6 hours north · ₱800–1,200 by van

Towering limestone cliffs rise from turquoise lagoons. Island-hop between hidden beaches, secret lagoons, and coral-filled coves. Bacuit Bay's Big and Small Lagoons are unmissable. Best visited Nov–May.

Port Barton
Port Barton
~3 hours north · ₱450–600 by van

The secret Palawan travellers keep to themselves. A fishing village on a protected bay, ringed by uninhabited islands. Hammocks, bonfires, bioluminescent plankton — the most honest Palawan.

Balabac
Balabac
~7 hours south · Van + boat

Palawan's southernmost frontier and one of the least visited places in the Philippines. Onuk Island's pink sands and Caribbean-grade clarity — for the true adventurer only.

Coron
Coron
~1 hr by plane · Daily flights

Twin turquoise lakes inside a mountain, volcanic hot springs, and world-class wreck diving — a dozen WWII Japanese ships now blanketed in coral. Palawan's other great destination.

Travel Tip

Our front desk knows every van schedule, boat departure, and guide worth hiring. Tell us where you want to go — we'll arrange everything from airport pickup to island-hopping bookings.

Best Time to Visit

November to May is the dry season — clearest skies, calmest seas. June to October brings the monsoon: brief but dramatic rain, an emptier island, lower rates, and intensely green landscapes.

Getting Here

Daily direct flights from Manila (1h 10min), Cebu, and Clark. Hotel Palacio is 20 minutes from Puerto Princesa International Airport. We arrange airport pickup — just share your flight details.
